We need YOU!
If the thought of writing your feelings down in a post is a little overwhelming, maybe you could just start with you favorite diet recipe or snack idea, exercise tips, or motivational thought. And even though it may seem unimportant, adding a comment under another persons post is almost as important as the post! The more feedback we get, the more we're helping each other. So, don't be shy. Our only rule: BE HONEST!
Using the same scale, weigh yourself at the same time of day in the same conditions. If your initial weigh-in was done naked first thing in the morning with an empty bladder, then it should always be done that way.
You are also encouraged to “get a witness.” It can be a spouse, sibling, friend, or anyone you would like to stand on a scale with once at the beginning and once at the end. It helps to have a “buddy” to stay motivated!
Details
1. First Weigh-In: Monday, September 9, 2013.
a. Weigh yourself and keep track of this number because this number will be used in all calculations. You don't need to share this number with the group.
2. Each Monday is weigh-in day. Email your percentage lost to Candi with this calculation:
a. Pounds lost / Start weight = Percentage Lost
b. Ex: If you weighed 150 and lost 3 lbs., you would take 3/150 = .02 or 2%
c. Round longer number to two decimals (Ex. 2.4429 would be 2.44%)
3. Final Weigh-in is Monday, December 23rd, 2013.
a. Calculate your final percentage of weight lost and email it to me. I will send out the final email with the winners…can you just hear the drum roll? ;)
Rewards
This part is VOLUNTARY! If you would like, you can contribute $50 towards the prize. If everyone chips in $50, the rewards would be as follows:
1st place $250, 2nd place $100, 3rd place $50
Two mid-way $25 challenges (TBD)
If you decide not to contribute, but are the “Biggest Loser,” you will get the satisfaction of winning! The prize will then go to the next biggest loser that contributed to the prize. We could figure out the amount if we have more people or fewer people. Also, in the unlikely event of a tie, the money would be divided equally.
